Local is Beautiful
We are in Santurce (San Juan Arts District; downtown area), not a traditional tourist hub like Condado, Old San Juan or Isla Verde (although with easy access to them). Managed by its owner/creator, a local born and raised fellow with passion, respect and understanding of cultures. For the active and independent traveler. A Hostelworld award winner; one of the 5Best hostels of the Caribbean by USA Today. On the other side of the highway from Condado.
Discover the local arts and culture district with restaurants, bars, museums, symphony hall, Conservatory of Music, Heath Care centers, Walmart, genuine Puerto Rican coffee shops, Food truck court, Metro station. Great bus service, much faster than the sporadic bus lines that go past the luxury hotels. Electronic newsletter (tailor made for our guests) available with info that will allow you to move as a local.

Free Broadband Internet + one computer terminal; various spacious communal areas and rooms equipped with 24/7 high-speed air fans, electric sockets by bedsides, mosquito screens and repellent. Complementary fresh linens and towel (bath and beach). We are not a party but a good sleeping hostel.
