The staff were as friendly as all the travelers. Even after a big week of Coachella fans, they were still friendly to us passers-through. Advice on how to get to and from LAX was very helpful.

Really close to all the action on Venice Beach. The breakfast and dinner is great, excellent value for money. Nothing flashy but the staff are really helpful and it's everything you can expect for the price/description. Would recommend it!

Free breakfast, dinner wifi. There are computers in the rooms. Clean and comfortable. Fantastic location one street back from the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Seconds from the beach, had a great view from the room, very close to public transport, very close to shops, bars, eateries, etc. Room was clean and spacious, the free food was also good!

The property has all the facillities you would need. Free internet, WIFI, breakfast is good, the free dinner is pasta or rice, which you have to cook yourself. The rooms are cleaned daily, and despite being a bit old and shabby feel clean. Location is great for Venice beach

Great relaxed, chilled out atmosphere, very sociable! Free wifi and internet/PC's in rooms. Breakfast and dinner available along with good cooking facilities, provide all extras condiments etc. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The atmosphere in the hostel was great and the common rooms where a perfect place to meet other travelers. The hostel is in a fantastic location 2 minutes from the beach and heart of Venice.

Venice Beach Hostel is a chilled hostel with everthing you need including breakfast (pancakes) and dinner (pasta or rice) The location is awesome!! Plently of shops and food near by!! There's also BLUE bus's really close, that can take you where ever you want..Santa Monica for just a $1!!! Venice Beach hostel was great I enjoyed my stay very much!!

Venice Beach Hostel rules and regs (R&R's) apply. e.g.:
(1) WEEKEND & HOLIDAY -- SPECIAL NOTICE RE PRIVATE STAY. All stays must be at least 2 days in private and/or a $25 add-on will be added to any one night only stay (1/2 persons; pro-rata for added persons). It is also subject to availability after multiple days’ reservations. Weekends are Friday - Sunday.
(2) Cancellation requirements
(a) Cancellation is 72 hours (3days) prior to arrival date. No partial cancellation of reservation dates.
(b) Cancellation only by email/writing.
(c) Please note: VBH cancellation time is different than reservation company & controls;
(3) Reservations may be required to be fully paid in advance when reserving: (a) with credit card expiring before date; (b) more that 1 private room; (c) 4 or more beds; (d) more than 1 week; (e) less than bah cancellation period; (f) in high season. Credit card provided will be used. Refundable deposit will be due at check-in.
(4) Debit card reservations are to be fully paid upon receipt of reservation and in advance
(5) Children only in private rooms.
(6) Proper & valid id required. VBH reserves the right to refuse service.
(7) Special rules/limits apply for locals in shared-read R&R's before reserving for shared. This service is only for foreign & out-of state travellers who are continuing travels. All others contact VBH directly to confirm reservation; verify non-locals & travellers.
* Special note re our internet: it is free service; we are not techies-so if it goes down; or machines break do not expect that it will be instantly fixed - or that we can do anything about it.
