AMAZING beds, most of the staff too. I have been there off-season but I can imagine that it gets a bit noisy when many people are staying in the backyard and others want to sleep. But: when staying in hostals you should bring earplugs anyway ... The design was just unique.

Great hostel with a decent patio, fabulous beds and a decent breakfast. Close to restaurants, bottle shops, grocery and the metro. Nice hot showers, and helpful staff. Some minor renovations underway, but did not result in any inconvenience. A bit of a hike from Pio Nono, so if you are planning on going out, you will probably need to rely on cabs; however, a nice place to stay with staff who were helpful in planning trips to Valparaiso and beyond. Would recommend and will stay again.

I had stayed here previously and was very pleased with the hostel in all aspects. However, this time there seemed to be a flea or something in my bed. The next day before an early morning flight, I discovered that I was covered in bug bites, including one of my eyes was swollen. I think this is definitely out of the norm and the staff was very concerned in trying to rectify the issue. Nevertheless, things like this have to be kept in mind if you want to sleep at a hostel for 7500 CLP per night.

While waiting to finish my check-in, one of the other guests immediately greeted me with a slab of chocolate. That is a very welcome indeed! I have used this hostel twice now as a stop over point while waiting to take a flight from Santiago the next day. Although I thought the bathroom could use a little more TLC, my visits here so far have been exactly what I needed: an efficient hostel, a friendly community, and a cheap price!

This is a hostel which has great rooms, pretty nice bathrooms, is clean and attracts a good crowd of mostly mid 20 somethings. It is let down by a few very casual staff and a manic breakfast area. The dorms are great, with proper duvets on the sturdy bunks and large lockers big enough to fit a backpack. The rooms all face the courtyard though, so bring earplugs to drown the chatter outside.

good hostel, nice clean and nice.... but not worth a percentage of 93%. This is because of a free bike ride you'll get with a good review on Hostelworld... not really a good thing of course.

This hostel is clean, unique in style and has large and very comfortable beds! Although the beds are bunk beds they are tall, so even on the bottom bunk you can sit upright without hitting your head. The hostel is located close to two metro stations so easy to explore the city and the staff are friendly and helpful. The downside however is not enough bathrooms, cold showers and lacks the 'social' factor. I think the management should make more of an effort to integrate the guests.

Lovely caracter and atmosphere! Very clean, the rooms are great, the staff is very nice and willing to help! Breakfast is good as well, location excellent, you get everything you need at walking distance and with the metro you have excellent connections to the whole city. Best vacations in a long time! :)

Excellent that you have lamps and wall plugs for electrical appliances next to each bed it's a god send sometimes, staff very nice. Only thing I can suggest is that curfew pass 12 or 1 am applied. But facilities were terrific very happy to reccomond

Amazing property! New and really well furnished. Great tv and modern computers. Really comfortable mattress and individual reading light and power point which is a luxury in most hostels. If you get in early for breakfast they have eggs for you to cook up however you like but there aren't too many provided.

A nice hostel with a gorgeous little outdoor area. The kitchen is big and well-equipped, breakfast has a couple of things extra to the normal bread and coffee. There's a little tv room to hang out and watch movies in. And the music that is always playing is gorgeous! Great location too. Oh, and the beds are huge and comfortable!

We stayed for six nights at the Princesa Insolente, and it was a great experience. The hostel opened 8 months ago and a lot of thought has been put into the design and running. We stayed in a double room, which had a bathroom across the hall. It is extremely well appointed, and has new fitting and fixture throughout. Our room had a great double bed with comfortable, warm down comforters. All the utensils, pots, and pans were brand new, but also pretty good in the first place. The only downside was that the kitchen didn't really have enough places to sit. One group in the kitchen in the morning meant almost all the seats and table space was taken. The common areas were great, with comfy chairs in both the lounge and the patio. The place was kept very warm in the evening, not something you find in every hostel. The staff were great. Everyone tried to help out as much as they could. They were always doing something to improve the hostel, even if it was something small like putting a new hook up to hang a towel. The location was brilliant, right in between two metro stations, and close to bar, restaurants, and a supermarket. All in all, an excellent stay.
